Roger Armstrong (1917- )...Born: Los Angeles, CA
Studied: Pasadena City College, Chouinard Art Institute (Los Angeles)
Member: California Water Color Society.
Roger Armstrong studied art with Phil Dike, Dan Lutz and Rex Brandt in the 1940s, and during this time, produced a number of watercolors depicting construction workers on Bunker Hill and other locations around Los Angeles. In the 1950s, he became a well-known cartoonist and has since received acclaim for his work in the field of animation. Armstrong is still producing transparent watercolor paintings, exhibits in Laguna Beach and is a well-known watercolor teacher.
