William Ross Cameron (1893-1971)...Born: New York City, NY

Studied: California College of Arts and Crafts (Oakland)

Member: Society of Western Artists, West Coast Watercolor Society.

William Cameron worked for many years as a staff artist and art director for various San Francisco newspapers. He began exhibiting his watercolors in the 1930s and was one of the Thirteen Witercolorists. William painted small works, usually 12" x 16", featuring California and European scenes. He also illustrated several books, wrote articles on watercolor painting and taught art.
