Joseph Weisman (1907-1994)...Born: Schenectady, NY

Studied: Chouinard Art Institute (Los Angeles)

Member: California Water Color Society.

Joseph Weisman moved to California in the 1920s and studied watercolor painting with Clarence Hinkle, Barse Miller and Millard Sheets.

From the 1930s, he painted and exhibited watercolors depicting regional scenes while working as a commercial artist, portrait painter, and as a scenic artist for the motion picture industry. He was also an art instructor in Los Angeles.
